 Link to the Present When Extreme arrived on the Forgotten Planet and founded the Forgotten Empire, he found a world marked by these civilizations. His genius allowed him to decipher some of the ancient technologies, using the Harmony Nodes to create the Floating Cities and the Vitreocrystals to develop the Hybrids. But Extreme knows more than he lets on: he may have discovered the Heart of Eryndor and decided to use it as the basis for his vision of evolution, without telling the hybrids the risk of awakening something even he cannot control.

The ancient force now manifesting itself - the energy pulses, Lyra-9's visions, the whispers in the ruins - is likely the Heart of Eryndor, or an echo of the Firstborn, attempting to break the seal imposed by the Guardians. Lyra-9, with her unique connection to electromagnetic currents, may be being "called" by the Heart, while Kael-13, exploring the ruins, is uncovering truths that could challenge Extreme's authority.
