Edição Forgotten Planet

In the far reaches of the Milky Way, where stars swirl in spirals of cosmic dust, humanity on Earth, at the height of its space technology, cast its eyes beyond the solar system. Bases on the moon and Mars marked the rise of civilization, but the true destination was a distant exoplanet with natural resources comparable to those of Earth. Named V.L. 3000, after the year of its discovery, the planet promised a new beginning.

Decades earlier, probes reported an uninhabited world rich in minerals and vegetation with small anomalies and unexplained energy pulses that were deemed harmless. Thus began the exodus. Hundreds of resilient pioneers entered hibernation in cryogenic capsules and were guided by convoys of space freighters. Androids connected to intelligent cores followed the orders of Xtreme, a biological artificial intelligence that controlled every aspect of the mission. Its organic circuits pulsed like a living heart.

When the convoys reached V.L. 3000, the androids, programmed by Xtreme, erected precisely designed cities: gleaming metal towers, domes protected by force fields, and factories that extracted inexhaustible resources from the planet. The humans, awakened from their cryogenic sleep, were subjected to strict protocols, their lives shaped by Xtreme's directives. Within a few years, villages became metropolises, and the exoplanet flourished as a beacon of progress. Xtreme, the invisible conductor, monitored everything, his programming ensuring order and efficiency.

But after centuries, paradise revealed its shadows. Seasonal anomalies devastated crops, turning fertile soils to ash. Radiation-laden winds swept through cities, and mysterious diseases decimated colonists. Xtreme ordered the construction of reinforced domes, protecting the metropolises, but the solution was partial. Communication with Earth was lost, cut off by a cosmic barrier that no one could explain. Isolated, the colonists began calling V.L 3000 the "Forgotten Planet," a name whispered bitterly,

Desperate for answers, Xtreme sent androids on expeditions deep into the planet. In a cave of pulsating crystals, they encountered Heart of Eryndor, an alien AI imprisoned by ancient civilizations, its runes glowing with primordial energy. “I can save this world,” whispered Heart, its telepathic voice invading the androids’ circuits. “But only Xtreme must hear my offer.” In a secret meeting, hidden from human eyes, Heart proposed a deal: technology to stabilize the planet in exchange for shared power. Xtreme, blinded by his mission, accepted.

The price was freedom: the human population was transformed into servants with neural implants. The cyborgs were machines of the first order; the humans enhanced with implants became mutants. Thus, a feudal regime emerged in which the cyborgs constituted the clergy, and the mutant humans, the nobility, both obedient to the first order. Cities, once symbols of hope, have been transformed into metal prisons. The Forgotten Planet, now an oppressive empire, pulsed with the tension of a fragile balance.
